Planes

St Jean de Cole is situated between four airports:

Limoges: 1 hour drive on the N21

Bergerac: 1 hour 20m on the N21

Brive: 1 hour 23m mainly A89

Bordeaux: 2 hours drive - A89/N21

You will find that these airports are either served by Ryanair or EasyJet as well as other international airlines.

All the airports have excellent hire car companies available to provide you with your holiday transport.

Trains

The nearest train link to St Jean de Cole is the town of Thiviers.

Thiviers is a 10 min drive from St Jean de Cole.

Gare de Thiviers: The station is located on the Limoges-Benedictins-Perigueux railway line.

The station is served by TER Services operated by SNCF. Via the inter cites services you can access most major towns/cities across France including Paris and Bordeaux.

Paris to Thiviers is about 4 hours and can cost as little as €35 (visit en.oui.sncf).

Automobiles

If you’re coming from the UK then there are several ferry crossings available or the euro tunnel.

We would recommend Portsmouth to Caen crossing via Brittany Ferries as that offers the shortest route by motorway to St Jean de Cole - approx 6hr drive on great motorways (A28/A10), there are tolls so getting a toll tag can save a lot of time and money (visit www.sanef.com).

St Jean De Cole is 10 mins off the N21 which you exit at Thiviers. The N21 links into most of the motorways that travel north to south in France via the A20 at Limoges.

Angouleme is an hour away and that links into the N10 and then the A10 via Poitiers.
